Missed our first ever fashion show in Pandosy, Kelowna? Well, according to every guest we’ve heard feedback from so far, you missed a fabulous event! For our first ever in-store fashion show, we must say, we’re pretty proud of ourselves!
It was close to a full house which was so exciting for us. At the last minute, we lost one of our models to a family emergency which created a bit of a hiccup but the team pulled together and efficiently adjusted plans where needed and ultimately everything went off without a hitch!
Delicious finger foods catered by popular local diner, Mid Town Station, were brought around by our staff for guests to snack on as others arrived. Fruit filled punches, crafted by our Framing Associate, Corey, quenched the palates of guests and staff alike! The store came alive with excitement and chatter about our fall lineup. The night was all about the fashion!
Guests oohed and aahed as our gorgeous models strutted down the runway in their Creative Muse best, unveiling our colourful, lush and cozy fall collection, including a handful of our newest custom pieces, featuring our resident artist, Carole Holmes’ latest artwork.
Highlights included our introduction of new fashion brands into the assortment, most notably Spanner, Blue Sky, and Charlie Paige, all of which are Canadian!
The dynamic mother-daughter duo behind Creative Muse, Carole and Jenavive served as co-emcees of the event, and in addition to announcing the outfits being modelled on the catwalk, shared helpful behind the scenes information that consumers are not often privy to.
The pair explained how we select our merchandise, and the key differences with working with Canadian, American and European suppliers. Jenavive shared info about lesser known modern fabrics and their features, and the two of them discussed how and why we choose to work with the brands we do.
We also gave away lots of prizes! The grand prizes included a $100 gift card for the store, and 4 seats at a Creative Muse art class at the store! The winners were over the moon!
After the show, the team undertook a rapid tear down of the runway and reassembly of the boutique and let shoppers go wild hunting for a special piece (or 4…) to add to their fall wardrobes. Attending the event had its perks in this regard too, in the form of an exclusive event only discount on all the new arrivals!
